Mahathir Mohamad as PM Designate

Mahathir Mohamad will be Pakatan Harapan's prime minister candidate.

The consensus was reached last night in a meeting at the 11th hour to finalise seat allocations for PH component parties in Peninsular Malaysia.

The coalition is expected to announce the number of peninsular parliamentary seats for each party at the PH Convention in Shah Alam today, sources from the parties told The Malaysian Insight.

Of the 165 peninsular federal seats, Bersatu is allocated 52, PKR 51, DAP 35 and Amanah 27. With the seats it is expected to contest in Sabah and Sarawak, PKR will be contesting the highest number of seats.

They have decided what they think is best.

When GE14 comes, let’s see if Malaysians are matured enough to be able to move forward and vote with wisdom. Can I please request that we kick out BN once and for all?

On November 24-25, I had attended the Toastmasters’ D51 Semi-Annual Conference – the very last one – to re-connect with Penang Toastmasters and also push for ticket sales for my 25th Annual Conference in Kuala Lumpur this April.

This SAC was awesome because of the special arrangement with Khoo Kongsi where dinner featuring hawker fare was served at its compound on the second night. And getting there  a trishaw ride was even organized. Quaint.

Khoo Kongsi is a Chinese clanhouse with elaborate and highly ornamented architecture in Cannon Square, Georgetown.

The Khoo Kongsi is reputedly the grandest in the country. And it is a reflection of the conspicuous presence of the Chinese in Penang.
