UMNO Lawyer Talks About Women's Menses

UMNO legal advisor Mohd Hafarizam Harun (left) was quoted by the New Straits Times yesterday to have said that a woman may not be a suitable candidate as the menteri besar of Selangor because she has periods! He made the remark supposedly because of speculation that PKR president Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail could replace Khalid Ibrahim as the Selangor Menteri Besar.
Don’t be shocked that UMNO are thumbing their noses at women – this time around. What can you expect from UMNO? Nothing but garbage, right?
And I am not at all surprised that Wanita UMNO and Puteri UMNO are keeping their mouths firmly shut. That is the nature of UMNO women – if they begin to speak, it won’t even be intelligible. But hey, they have the right to be stupid. It’s only that they abused the privilege!
In case the retard known as Hafarizam doesn’t know, women have walked the corridors of power for a long, long time. The list is too lengthy for me to list but I would just point out a few of them.
Benazir Bhutto was Pakistan’s Prime Minister (1988-1990 & 1993-1996); Khaleda Zia was Bangladesh’s Prime Minister (1991-1996 & 2001-2006); Tansu Ciller was Turkey’s Prime Minister (1993-1996); Megawati Sukarnoputri was President of Indonesia (2001-2004); and Sheikh Hasina was Bangladesh’s Prime Minister (1996-2001 & 2009-Present). Am I to believe that these women did/do not have menses?
But there’s more to Hafarizam than meets the eye! He is very worried if Wan Azizah becomes the Menteri Besar.
He is a shareholder of the company who has been granted the concession to build and operate the RM2.4 billion KIDEX highway.  Can you see the connection? Millions of ringgit are at stake here if Wan Azizah gets the Selangor job. Khalid Ibrahim is the only Pakatan Rakyat elected representative who supports KIDEX.
And of course, it tells you that UMNO is very frightened of change. If you have read my article “Khalid Ibrahim Wears UMNO Clothes” yesterday, you will understand.
