Najib Razak is Misquoted

In my blogpost (Read my blogpage http://helpvictor.blogspot.com/2013/11/najib-razaks-warning-of-impending.html) dated November 27, 2013, Najib Razak had warned that the country would go bankrupt should the goods and services tax (GST) not be implemented.

Yesterday, he denied ever making the claim. Instead, he said that he had been “misquoted” by newspapers, which is part and parcel of the “hazards” of being a politician. Najib explained that what he had actually meant was that Malaysia was at risk of becoming like Greece – which is trying to revive its economy following a debt crisis – if Malaysia continues to spend in excess without taking into consideration the amount of revenue it collects.

Both Najib and Rosmah Mansor are profligate spenders. BRIMs (Bantuan Rakyat 1Malaysia) and Birkins already cost an arm and a leg. And these are just two of their many other outlays. I am expecting us to be financially ruined soon.

On Sunday, Nicol David won her ninth Hong Kong crown. The squash star beat Egypt’s Raneem El Weleily, in the final of the Hong Kong Open 11-7, 11-7, 12-10 on the glass court at the Cultural Centre Piazza on the Tsim Sha Tsui harbourfront.

David’s contender was 6-5 up in both the first two games before the Malaysian fought back in each. The two players rallied point by point in the third until 10-all when David sealed victory after deuce.
