The Aftermath of a Thunderstorm in Kelana Jaya

I managed to take snapshots of the aftermath of a thunderstorm that swept through Kelana Jaya yesterday. I was on my way to the Malaysia Airlines Academy for a Toastmasters meeting when these scenes – see photos below – greeted me:

I was told this occurred between 4 to 5 PM. The photos were taken at Jalan SS7/13.
When I was doing some research on the public aquariums that were previously phone booths – my last post – I came across another similar project by art students in Japan.

Donning red jumpsuits, the Japanese art collective known as Kingyobu (‘goldfish club’) have been installing Gold Tele, goldfish phone booth aquariums, throughout Osaka, Japan as part of the city’s Canvas Project art festival. According to blogger Johnny Strategy of Spoon & Tamago, the group’s first goldfish-filled phone booth was created at this art festival in 2011.
Kingyobu consists of Kyoto University of Art and Design students who formed the group in their second year of study.
