Muhyiddin Lies Again

Yesterday, blabbermouth Muhyiddin Yassin bragged that the federal government had already bowed to Bersih 2.0's demands but merely failed to adequately explain it to voters. Explaining further, the deputy prime minister pointed out that the 22 recommendations tabled and approved in the Dewan Rakyat last month were far more than the election watchdog's eight requests for electoral reforms. I don’t even wish to disprove his claim because to do so would insult my own intelligence.

Do you know how to tell when Muhyiddin is lying?

Answer: His lips are moving.

By the way, Bersih 2.0 is still an illegal organization, at least according to home minister Hishamuddin Hussein! So what is Muhyiddin blathering about?

Malaysians have caught the “yellow” fever because of “Bersih”. I daresay even Queen Elizabeth II is not immune to this contagion. Last year, on July 14, she wore a yellow dress when she greeted Najib Razak in Buckingham Palace – refer to my blog posting dated July 15, 2011 titled “Yellow Dress”. As I had hinted, she was trying to send a message to him – but what to do? Najib is not a very bright person. Anyway, this year, we still see “yellow” making a royal appearance and it is splashed across all British newspapers.

Queen Elizabeth II and the Duke of Edinburgh visited Liverpool as part of her Diamond Jubilee Tour. Yesterday, the royal couple took a ride along the River Mersey in the Yellow Duckmarine – a former World War II landing craft which has been remodelled and painted bright yellow in honour of the Beatles song, Yellow Submarine. And if I may add, “Bersih” too!
