Covid-19 Strikes The White House

Covid-19 has struck the White House.

On Thursday, news broke that one of US President Donald Trump’s personal valets tested positive.

According to CNBC, the unidentified valet “had very close contact with the president, including serving meals and helping him with his clothes and other personal needs”.

Note: Valets are members of an elite military unit and often work very close to the president and the first family.

A day later, news broke out that Vice President Mike Pence's press secretary Katie Miller had also tested positive.

And that’s not all. Yahoo News had also revealed on Friday that eleven secret service agents were ested positive. Department of Homeland Security documents reviewed by the news website showed 23 members of the federal law enforcement agency have recovered from the disease, with 60 employees self-quarantining.

It is unclear if any infected agents had come into contact with Trump or Pence.

The White House did announce that the duo had since tested negative for the virus and "remain in good health".

Still, methinks, the White House should go into lockdown! In Malaysia, they'll enforce an EMCO!

I may have left Toastmasters since April 01 – but if and when invited, I do make it a point to still attend their meetings. For specific reasons, of course.

And three occasions at three different Toastmasters clubs had presented themselves.

On April 04, I participated as a member of a discussion panel for a speech presented at the MIM Toastmasters Club of Kuala Lumpur:

On April 14, I did a 15-minute presentation on “Rhetorical Devices” at the USJ Toastmasters Club meeting which had as its theme “Words…It’s Only Words”:

And on May 09, I was an evaluator for a “Special Occasion”-type speech at the IJM Toastmasters Club meeting:
