Joaquin Phoenix Triumphs in Baftas 2020

Baftas 2020 was the biggest night of the year in British cinema.

The 73rd British Academy film awards saw Joker coming out triumphant three times.

Not surprisingly, Joker's Joaquin Phoenix (right) picked up the Best Actor award.

The movie also won Best Original Score for its composer Hildur Gudnadottir and the inaugural Casting Award, which went to Shayna Markowitz. Nice!

In the Scottish Premiership match against Hamilton Academical on Sunday, Celtic triumphed 4-1, with three of the goals scored in the final 12 minutes. They now go seven points clear at the top of the table.

In fact, the Accies scored first in the twenty-sixth minute – but Odsonne Edouard scored a stunning free kick in the thirty-fifth minute that brought Celtic level.

Celtic’s second came in the seventy-eighth minute when sub Ryan Christie set up Christopher Jullien to score on the volley.

And then Edouard ran at the Accies defence from deep and gathered a return pass from Tom Rogic before sliding a composed shot into the net for Celtic’s third just three minutes later.

Edouard turned provider when he dummied it for Leigh Griffiths, who bat it back into his path. The former got his head up and cut it back for James Forrest (90+1) to score the fourth.

Celtic, who are aiming for a ninth Scottish Premiership in a row, nearly didn’t pull it off. Anyway, all's well that ends well. The fact that they were victorious while playing below par for so long is indeed an art form that sides who win championships tend to master.
