Bushfire Heroes

Funko have teamed up with Popcultcha to create a ‘Bushfire Heroes’ figure – an Australian firefighter with a koala clutching his leg.

However, this toy isn’t made just for you to put it on your shelf and be reminded of the destructive bushfires that have been blazing through Australia.

In fact, it is created not only to honor the heroic Australians who have been fighting against the disaster, but also as part of a fundraiser.

This Pop! can be purchased @ bit.ly/bushfire-heroes-pop,

The company said that all profits from the vinyl figure, which retails for A$19.99, will be donated to the Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals’ National Bushfire Appeal.

Popcultcha had written in a Facebook post: “The RSPCA are working alongside government and emergency agencies, veterinarians and local authorities to provide much-needed equipment and supplies, emergency care and identifying and assessing injured animals in need of assistance. Their work will continue for months after the fires have ceased”

Pre-orders for the figurine are now open, with delivery expected in June. However, for those who are not fans of figures, but still interested in supporting the cause can always donate directly to the RSPCA.

The World Health Organisation have warned that "trolls and conspiracy theories" are undermining their response to 2019-nCoV.

WHO Director General Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus (left) said that misinformation was "making the work of our heroic workers even harder".

So true. All the lies about the novel coronavirus and the China bashing that accompanies it is both deplorable and disgusting.

Know that Sinophobia won't save anybody from 2019-nCoV!
