Rosmah Mansor's Innocuous Question

As at 7:45 PM yesterday, an innocuous question was #3 on the Kuala Lumpur trending list.

"Can I advise you something".

To get the context of this particular sentence, one only need to look at #4 on the list: "Rosmah".

Following a press conference by Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission chief commissioner Latheefa Koya on Wednesday – kindly refer to today’s post titled “Shocking Audio Recordings” – Malaysians took to social media, mostly to express their disbelief at what was shockingly disclosed.

One of the nine audio clips was said to be a phone conversation between former prime minister Najib Razak and his wife Rosmah Mansor. In the recording, a seemingly irate ‘Rosmah’ was heard asking ‘Najib’ if she could advise him on something.

Her exact words: "Darling, can I advise you, can I advise you something".

Latheefa said the couple in the said recording discussed issues including the attempt by Abu Dhabi's International Petroleum Investment Co to settle their dispute with 1MDB at the International Arbitration Court.

Once the audio clips found themselves in the public domain, the social media was flooded with series of memes, jokes, and funny clips, all poking fun at the conversation between the infamous couple.

Twitter user @lynfunkstar remarked: "Rosmah yelling 'can I advise you something' to Najib is my vibes for 2020".

Meanwhile @FaroukRamli had this to say: "Behind every man there is a woman...screaming 'can I advise you something'".

Opting to let a photo convey her message, @TheAileen_L wrote "Can I advise you something. #Rosmah" and shared a popular meme of a lioness roaring at a timid looking lion, backed into a corner.

Now the whole wide world knows who's the real Bossku!
