Donald Trump's Political Dalliance With Kim Jong Un

North Korea said Monday it was not interested in talks with the United States just so President Donald Trump (right) had something to brag about.

Unless Washington offers concessions in their nuclear negotiations.

Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un (left) had met for the first time in a landmark summit in Singapore in June last year to push forward negotiations the United States hopes will lead to Pyongyang's dismantling of its nuclear and missile programs, in exchange for the lifting of punishing international sanctions.

Despite all the hype, there was no significant progress.

Still, it led to a second summit between Trump and Kim – but which collapsed in Vietnam in February.

Then the two leaders agreed in June, at a third meeting, to reopen negotiations. And, still zilch.

North Korea wants the sanctions lifted; meanwhile, the US insists the former must dismantle its nuclear weapons program first. Obviously, there is zero trust between the two parties. And neither side is interested to blink first!

Now the North Koreans have wised up to the fact that Trump is just trifling with Kim, just so he can crow about it just for the heck of it! LOL!

Last evening, I was at the RSPO Office in Menara UOA in Bangsar, KL.

I was there for the Bangsar Toastmasters meeting, where I was the General Evaluator.

I must say the meeting was very well-attended and members and guests filled the room to the brim. And it was lively and spirited too. Certainly, a good meeting!
