The Man With a Speech

"I have to make a speech – O Joy! – O Gee!
O trembling voice, O quaking, quivering knee!
What must I do before I rise to speak?
O Mastermind, your wise advice I seek!"

Ralph C Smedley (left) shared tips on speech crafting – and to be sure, they make a lot of sense. 

But of course! He is the fellow, after all, who started Toastmasters!

Yesterday, I presented a 5-7 minute speech at Wisma WIM in Jalan Abang Haji Openg, TTDI in KL – and I’m grateful to both Lawrence Fung and Henry Fu to offer me this speaking opportunity at their club meeting. 

Additionally, I was also the Table Topics Evaluator.

This club's meetings are always enjoyable  and yesterday, was no exception:

Anyway, my speech at the Metropolitan Bilingual Toastmasters Club was a CC#8 titled Toastmasters: What It Means to Me. 

With that, I completed yet another edition of the Competent Communication manual – this was Round #60 and it earned me my 115th Toastmasters award:
