Day 19: Najib Razak's Handwritten Note of Approval

An update on the SRC International trial so far.

Yesterday was Day 19 – in case you don't know, Najib Razak is being charged for criminal breach of trust, abuse of position and money-laundering.

Azian Mohd Nor (right) who was CEO of civil servants’ pension fund KWAP from March 2007 to March 2013 was the 38th prosecution witness to take the stand – where she spoke of Najib's former special officer, the late Azlin Alias who in June 2011 had made contact with her in order to personally hand over a letter for a RM3.95 billion loan application.

That letter addressed to Najib as Prime Minister and Finance Minister then was signed off by SRC International director Nik Faisal Ariff Kamil and it had contained Najib’s handwritten note of approval together with his signature.

The said incident unfolded in the lobby of a hotel in KL Sentral in Kuala Lumpur where she had gone to meet Azlin at night after office hours.

She had also maintained that the loan application did not meet the requirements of KWAP’s procedure and KWAP’s loan policy.

On May 09, 2019, the court had already heard that two loans totalling RM4 billion had been made to SRC International (then a wholly-own subsidiary of 1MDB) and these were among the biggest approved by KWAP, according to two witnesses responsible for the approval of the payment vouchers.

All the nonsense is coming out and one must be very stupid not to be able to infer anything from the above as well as the other testimonies.

I repeat. I am just waiting for the verdict. I am ready to celebrate. I am thirsty.
