UMNO Win Again

UMNO capped another electoral victory when Mohamad Hasan (left), popularly known as Tok Mat, won the Rantau by-election which saw the highest turnout of 79.31 percent since GE14, after he obtained 10,397 votes, with a majority of 4,510 votes.

His rival Dr S Streram from Pakatan Harapan obtained a mere 5,887 votes.

The by-election was necessitated by the Federal Court dismissal of an appeal filed by Mohamad to set aside the November 16 Seremban Election Court decision declaring his unopposed victory in the GE14 null and void. In that election, Mohamad was declared the winner of the seat after Streram was prohibited from entering the nomination center to submit his nomination papers because he did not have a pass issued by the EC.

Still, as I have said broken PH pledges will haunt them – Pakatan Harapan continue to be a disappointment.

I guess I can’t get enough of Bohemian Rhapsody.

Here’s an instrumental version of the Queen classic arranged by Emanuele Grafitti and played by 40 Fingers (Matteo Brenci, Emanuele Grafitti, Marco Steffè and Andrea Vittori):
