Liverpool Vanquish FC Porto

On Wednesday, the Reds swept aside FC Porto with a thumping 6-1 aggregate victory to secure their well-earned passage to the Champions League semi-finals for the second successive season.

Leading 2-0 from the first leg at Anfield, goals from Sadio Mane (26), Mohamed Salah (65), Roberto Firmino (77) and Virgil van Dijk (84) underscored an accomplished win by Jurgen Klopp's side – in spite of a slow and sluggish Liverpool start.

Somebody wrote that to win 4-1 away from home in a Champions League quarter-final, and for it all to feel rather straightforward, says a lot about how special this Reds side is.

In the meantime, Tottenham Hotspur reached the last four of the Champions League for the first time when they ended Manchester City and Pep Guardiola's quest for a historic quadruple. Although the latter won 4-3 (aggregate 4-4), they go out on away goals.

Anyway, Liverpool will face Barcelona in the first leg of their mouth-watering clash at the Nou Camp on Wednesday, May 01, before hosting the Spanish side in the reverse fixture on Tuesday, May 07.
