WSD: 16 Days Away

World Speech Day – Kuala Lumpur is just sixteen days away and already the excitement is slowly and steadily building up.

What makes WSD so special is the fact that on this one day in a year, we celebrate public speaking as never before. Everywhere and anywhere around the globe.

It doesn’t matter who you are – but here’s the chance to find your voice and speak.

Summon your courage and communicate – and be the public speaker for just 3 to 5 minutes. It’s not as daunting as you imagine – you just need to unleash your vocal chords and spew a parade of words because those words possess incredible and immense power that can make a difference.

In Kuala Lumpur, we have speakers with different demographic profiles who have signed up. From a 79-year-old engineer to children as young as 5- to 7-years old! If they are ready to speak – why not you?

#unexpected voices.

Yesterday, I was in Singapore with Cyril Jonas – and thanks to Steven Adamson, we secured our attendance at the Bishan Toastmasters Club.

This was our first Toastmasters meeting in the city-state and it was an invigorating experience – the meeting was vigorously energetic, vastly educational and veraciously enlightening:

We are Toastmasters and so, even if we couldn’t secure speaking slots – we must still speak. And speak we did during the impromptu speaking session.

Ahem, I was voted Best Table Topics Speaker.

Oh yes, thanks also to Richard Ong for accompanying us!
