WSD 2019 Campaigns on World Citizenship

Every year on March 15, people all around the world gather at their pre-determined locations to give a speech. They share what they have to say and what they want to say during World Speech Day.

And this year, Kuala Lumpur joins the long list of cities observing this special day, the biggest international celebration of public speaking ever.

And truly here, the most unexpected voices are heard. They accomplish this through a network of worldwide live events purposed to document and broadcast these speeches.

For the first time ever, the 7-hour World Speech Day Kuala Lumpur is here! Like everybody else in 100 countries, we have one simple aim – to give an opportunity for people to speak wilfully and with conviction – that can make a difference to individuals and communities.

#unexpected voices.

It doesn’t matter who you are and where you come from – you have the potential to inspire change, big or small with your voice and your ideas. Everyone has a story to tell, and World Speech Day 2019 is about maximizing each person’s potential through the sharing of inspirational insights and unique experiences.

This year, we campaign about World Citizenship. Speakers shall come equipped with an understanding on how to express themselves as world citizens, what it means to be a world citizen, what percipience can contribute to world citizenship, what intentions can help us celebrate being a world citizen and any insights related to this whole idea of World Citizenship. Now that’s something worth speaking up about.

Share your voice on Friday, March 15 and make a difference!
