3 Golden Globes

Lady Gaga poses with her Golden Globe for best original song, motion picture for "Shallow" from "A Star Is Born"

The stars shined and sparkled as they appeared at the 76th annual Golden Globe Awards on Sunday in Beverly Hills in California, USA.

And Lady Gaga's songwriting chops earned her a Golden Globe.

The singer, in tears, won best original song for co-writing "Shallow" from A Star Is Born, sharing the victory with Mark Ronson, Anthony Rossomando and Andrew Wyatt.

"As a woman in music it is really hard to be taken seriously as a musician and as a songwriter", she said onstage, adding that her co-writers "lifted me up, they supported me".

"Shallow", performed by Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper, earned four Grammy nominations, including song and record of the year. The track also reached platinum status and became a Top 5 hit on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

Her win represents her second Golden Globe – in 2016, she won best actress in a miniseries or motion picture made for television for her role in FX's "American Horror Story: Hotel".

And Bohemian Rhapsody was the surprise winner of two Golden Globes.

The Queen biopic took home the trophies for best film drama – a surprise victory over A Star Is Born – and best drama actor for its star Rami Malek, who played the late frontman.
