My Toastmasters’ Advanced Communication Milestone

I have now earned my fifteenth Advanced Communicator award, having completed my thirtieth Advanced Communication manual  meaning, I have reached another Toastmasters milestone.

If you’re a Toastmaster and you have sampled any of these Advanced manuals – you’ll have discovered there’s so much learning to be had. Provided you’ve completed your Competent Communication manual, of course.

With fifteen manuals to choose from – I can tell you that you’re spoilt for choice.

In case, you didn’t know – these are The Entertaining Speaker, Speaking to Inform, Public Relations, Facilitating Discussion, Specialty Speeches, Speeches by Management, The Professional Speaker, Technical Presentations, Persuasive Speaking, Communicating on Video, Storytelling, Interpretive Reading, Interpersonal Communication, Special Occasion Speeches and Humorously Speaking.

These manuals promised to refine and enhance my speaking skills – and truly, they did.

It was on Saturday, December 01, 2018 that I completed my 150th AC speech. That equals to 30 Advanced Communication manuals.

Meaning, I had gone through (almost) every AC manual that’s available and in some cases, done a couple of rounds too.

Another KPI fulfilled. Another accomplishment. Another feather in my cap!

Lest I get carried away, thinking I’m good – it’s good to know that I’m still not good enough!

But that’s okay. As long as I keep crafting and delivering speeches, I believe I can only get better!

And that’s why I have embraced Toastmasters with a vengeance.
