UMNO's Sodomy Fake News

UMNO are giving the Port Dickson by-election a miss.

And yet, they cannot resist starting their malevolent mischief against prime-minister-in-waiting, Anwar Ibrahim.

UMNO supreme council member, loudmouth Lokman Noor Adam (right) had claimed in his Facebook post on Sunday that an Indonesian student had lodged a police report after he was allegedly sodomised by Anwar (!) – and quoting BERITA Mediacorp Singapore as the source.

The Singaporean media group promptly denied publishing the alleged news report and contacted the tale teller to remove the post.

The news organization also reported that the Singapore Police Force had denied any such report.

A check on Lokman’s Facebook post later showed that the UMNO sleazeball had clarified that the article was not published by BERITA.

On the allegation, Anwar (left) said that Lokman needed to use a different tactic instead of harping on his past sodomy charges.

In spite of Anwar’s quick dismissal of the matter, thankfully, PKR are not letting the UMNO scumbag off that easy.

Their communications director Fahmi Fadzil had lodged a police report on Monday, claiming the fake post was intended to smear Anwar and scuttle his by-election campaign.

Since it was the Opposition in Dewan Negara that obstinately blocked the Anti-Fake News (Repeal) Bill 2018 – and the Anti-Fake News Bill 2018 is still in effect, can we now charge Lokman under this law?

Let’s throw the book at him!

Yesterday, the High Court dismissed a petition for a judicial review application filed on Friday by a Port Dickson voter to stop the Election Commission from holding a by-election in the constituency.

Rosmadi Mohd Kassim had wanted to challenge the decision by the incumbent MP Danyal Balagopal Abdullah to give up his seat for Anwar Ibrahim, claiming it was unconstitutional.

We will now have to look to Port Dickson voters to stop Anwar from winning the by-election!
