A 15-year-old girl, who was supposed to take her PT3 examination, committed suicide at her apartment block in Lebuh Sungai Pinang 1, Penang on Monday.

The Form 3 student had allegedly jumped to her death from her 11th floor unit in the wee hours. Clad in her pyjamas, she was found face down near the swimming pool by a cleaner at about 08:45 AM.

According to New Straits Times yesterday, she left behind 3 suicide notes.

In one of the letters, she wrote that she had no regret, explaining: “I choose to end my life as I see this as the only way out and freedom from any problems”.

The victim was the eldest child in the family and she had two younger siblings.

Anyway, her body was sent to the Penang Hospital mortuary for post-mortem.

And I also came across news of another suicide yesterday – although this occurred in March 03, 2018.

A Year One Architecture student at UTAR Sg Long allegedly committed suicide when he jumped from the sixth floor of an unidentified building on campus. He died instantly.

Gratuitous acts. Needless deaths. Two more tragedies.

It’s important not to give in to death’s seduction. It’s also important not to give up.

Be a depression survivor. Battle on.
