Rosmah Mansor's Birthday Cake on Twitter

On Thursday, Nicholas Tom Wright posted a picture of a multi-tiered birthday cake plastered with Rosmah Mansor’s face after the former “First Lady of Malaysia” was charged for money laundering and tax evasion offences on the same day.

His tweet @ 11:34 AM on October 04, 2018: “Now Rosmah has been arrested I just wanted to resurface this birthday cake, delivered to her table in Istanbul recently. She denies wrongdoing. #BillionDollarWhale”.

“For those of you asking this is from December 2017”, he added.

Wright and co-author Bradley Hope wrote the book Billion Dollar Whale, which is an epic true-tale of hubris and greed from two Pulitzer-finalist Wall Street Journal reporters – it reveals how a young social climber and unlikely Wharton grad, Penang-born Low Taek Jho (better known as Jho Low) pulled off one of the biggest financial heists in history – right under the nose of the global financial industry – exposing the shocking secret nexus of elite wealth, banking, Hollywood, and politics. This is the 1MDB scandal.

On Wednesday, I was in Jalan Bayu Tinggi 5 in Bayu Tinggi, Klang for the Klang Bilingual Toastmasters meeting.

Actually, I was invited by EcoWorld Toastmaster, Lee Chin Yee to attend the above-mentioned club meeting as the General Evaluator. I was also to evaluate an Advanced speech.

Of course, I agreed.

This is a Toastmasters club that is doing pretty well. Members are enthusiastic and earnest in wanting to work on their communication and leadership skills.

And like the other time I was there – I enjoyed the meeting.
