Easy Money for Arul Kanda

And for Malaysians who missed Jamal Md Yunos’ antics – and wondering what he has been up to – the short answer is that he’s out on bail.

And I don’t expect him to sit quietly at home.

My previous post published on June 20, 2018 @ http://helpvictor.blogspot.com/2018/06/jamal-yunos-wanted-man.html – will give you almost the whole enchilada about this bully and rabble-rouser from Sungai Besar, Selangor – and who became an 8-day fugitive.

[Background story: He (left) was under police remand at Ampang Puteri Specialist Hospital premium ward, where he was undergoing treatment for back pain.

When the Shah Alam Court assistant registrar Rahasbiah Abd Rahman turned up on May 25 to issue his bail – he had gone AWOL].

Anyway, his freedom was short-lived – Indonesian police arrested him on July 02 and he was brought back to Malaysia three days later.

After which, he had to spend his days in the Sungai Buloh prison, having being denied bail before his appearance in court.

He pleaded guilty to the charge of being a public nuisance for the beer-smashing stunt in Shah Alam, Selangor last year – and he was given the maximum fine (i.e. RM400) in default of a month behind bars by Magistrate Raja Noor Adilla Raja Mahyaldin on July 11.

There are other charges pending – and because his bail orders had been duly revoked, he will continue to stay at Sungai Buloh prison until his cases have been disposed of. Or so I thought.

His lawyer filed an appeal and yesterday, the High Court granted him bail! Justice Yazid Mustafa said those charges are bailable offences and the lower court had no jurisdiction to deny him bail.

Maybe so – but he pulled a Houdini before. He is a flight risk.

Altogether, he has three charges including one that relates to his escape from police custody.

The court fixed August 10 for mention of all three cases.

This time around, he had pleaded not guilty to all the charges.

I had hoped he would stay in jail because it’ll be good for him to cool his heels for a period of time – otherwise, you can be sure, he will be up to his tricks again.

A real weasel if I ever saw one! And I have!
