Curvy Kate's #MyBodyVictory

Pix by Curvy Kate

Last Wednesday, lingerie brand Curvy Kate launched the #MyBodyVictory marketing campaign to celebrate women in all their forms and at the same time, share stories of their personal "body victories".

The British brand, which is known for carrying quality bras in cup sizes D-K, recruited six advocates/influencers: Plus-size model and actress Hayley Hasselhoff, plus-size fashion and lifestyle blogger Chanel Ambrose, Be Real Ambassador and creater of SheAspiresUK Jenny Okolo, mental health advocate and brain surgery survivor Grace Latter, plus-size fashion blogger Lauren Tallulah, and blogger and wheelchair user Clara Holmes.

I think it is good that Curvy Kate wants to start conversations that help everyone see their body in a positive light.

Anyway, the body-positive campaign follows in the footsteps of other lingerie brands that also celebrate body diversity.

One lingerie retailer Figleaves had joined forces with MiLK Models for a campaign called #BeautyHasNoBounds that featured 12 women who each represents different faces of beauty across age, body shape, ethnicity and disability.

Lingerie doesn't only have to be sexy, it can also be empowering!

Yesterday, Anfield hosted Liverpool’s final friendly outing – this time against Torino.

Also, this presented an opportunity for the four summer signings to get accustomed to the venue – Alisson Becker, Fabinho (Fábio Henrique Tavares), Naby Keita and Xherdan Shaqiri.

Anyway, the Reds did more than enough to inflict a 3-1 defeat on the Serie A side, with their goals coming from Roberto Firmino (21), Georginio Wijnaldum (24) and Daniel Sturridge (86).

It capped a good pre-season with seven victories from nine games! I'm not saying we're going to win it all this 2018-2019 season but I am really feeling confident.
