Anwar Ibrahim Sounded the Alarm on 1MDB

Anwar Ibrahim was the first person to have highlighted the possibility that 1MDB could “destroy” the economy, his daughter and Lembah Pantai MP Nurul Izzah Anwar (right) told a “Sayangi Malaysia, Hapuskan Kleptokrasi” ceramah held by Pakatan Harapan at Sungai Acheh, near Nibong Tebal in Penang.
The PKR vice-president said on Friday that Anwar had brought up the issue of 1MDB in the Dewan Rakyat when the sovereign fund was still known by its original name, Terengganu Investment Authority in 2009.
She said: “Anwar said the formation of the TIA would destroy the economy. However, our prime minister said Anwar had lied”.
Obviously, the prediction has come true.
And it is also obvious that this self-serving plan to siphon off money was carefully planned and hatched – given the painstaking arrangements made through third parties and shell companies.
You certainly need meticulous planning to pull off this grand heist of public money!
