It's Official: PAS Divorce PKR

PAS formally ended political cooperation with PKR today, with the Islamist party’s Syura Council deciding this was necessary to defend their Islamic agenda.

PAS are putting the blame squarely on PKR for breaking the terms of their conditional cooperation with PAS.

The two parties had retained a working relationship despite the demise of the Pakatan Rakyat pact.

They accused PKR for failing to support the private members’ Bill to enhance Syariah sentencing. And they said PKR betrayed PAS by working with parties allegedly working to unseat the Kelantan government. Then, they alleged that PKR attacked the Islamist party during the Sungai Besar and Kuala Kangsar by-elections last year.

But whatever this cabal of two-timing hypocrites may have claimed – they had indicated in no uncertain terms that they intend to hold onto their Selangor government seats.

All because of power.

On Tuesday, I was in Menara Centara in Jalan Tuanku Abdul Rahman, KL. I had attended the BDO Toastmasters meeting – where I was both a speech evaluator and General Evaluator. And I was even voted Best Evaluator. A good meeting overall.
