“Cremate my body and release the ashes into the sea. No need for tombstone and funeral. Goodbye”.
The chilling words found on the Facebook page of university student Teh Wen Chun who fell to his death from a Penang flat near his university college on Tuesday.
Family members and friends believe the 20-year-old Electrical and Electronic Engineering could have been stressed due to cyber-bullying. Needless to say, another needless suicide.
I have found it too depressing to document the suicides that had happened in the last 10 months or so.
As far as I am aware, University of Nottingham Malaysia campus recorded one suicide case. Another from Berjaya University College of Hospitality a student named Tan. And two from Sunway University.

Depression stems from our own state of mental health. Not all of us can be strong. And for those who are not, they need our help.

Please reach out to the outstretched hands. We may just save a life!
On Wednesday, I was at the Southgate Commercial Center in Jalan Dua, off Jalan Chan Sow Lin, KL to support Gamuda Toastmasters at their meeting in the MMC-Gamuda premise. I was the General Evaluator.
