Soggy Specialty: Tinned Spaghetti on Pizza

Did you hear about the great New Zealand debate about pizza toppings.

New Zealand’s Prime Minister Bill English shared his culinary skills (or lack of them) on Facebook.

“Cooked dinner for the family last night – like if you agree with tinned spaghetti on pizza!” he had posted on his Facebook page last Monday.

And fellow New Zealanders too must have shared his love for his version of unconventional pizza toppings because the post has been liked more than 8,000 times.

More than that, he even admitted that his pizza creation had turned out mushy! In the comments section he updated his followers: “I drained off some of the liquid but not quite enough since pizza was a bit soggy in the middle. Goes well with pineapple”.

I can only think of one word to describe it. Eccentric.

Champions Celtic continued their winning ways when they cruised to a comfortable 3-1 win over Kilmarnock in a Scottish Premiership game on Saturday.

On the same day too, finally, Liverpool won an away game. They beat Stoke City 2-1.

The Brazilians took the headlines. Philippe Coutinho and Roberto Firmino came off the bench to give Reds an important victory – in the seventieth and seventy-second minutes respectively.

But I have to admit it is exhausting being a Liverpool fan!

Still, they are twelve points better off than at the same stage last season. The Reds are now third in the EPL table.

Yesterday, I was at the SS3 Sathya Sai Baba Center in Taman Universiti, Petaling Jaya – where I was the General Evaluator at the Sai Masters Toastmasters meeting. A well-attended meeting.
