A 'Dog-eat-dog' World

"Love at first sight,” shared on IMGUR by hellssatans and reposted by boingboing.net on November 04, 2016.

Hmmm…was it really love? Or was it lust at first sight?

Sigh! It’s a dog-eat-dog world!

Yesterday, Liquid Gold Advanced Toastmasters and friends massed at Taman Bukit Indah in KL – Bacon & Balls to be exact – for our club’s first Anniversary meeting. All thirty of us.

An important milestone for the club. And Cyril Jonas as the Toastmaster-of-the-Evening reminded us to be grateful and indeed, there is much to be grateful for.

Liquid Gold Advanced Toastmasters Club is growing from strength to strength. And we have achieved much in just one year. A collection of educational awards. A clutch of DCP goals. Contests' winners. A healthy bank balance. Expanding membership, both in quality and quantity.

Needless to say, we had a power-packed meeting! Six project speeches. Table Topics. A magic show. Lucky draws. And two suckling pigs.

Better still, I finished my tenth CC speech in Malay – titled ”Seruan Merdeka”. It took me 361 days to complete all ten speeches.

Only now I realize how privileged I am to belong to Liquid Gold Advanced Toastmasters Club because seven of my speeches – in Malay – were delivered there.

Otherwise, I would not have been able to complete the manual which I first started on November 11, 2015 at the Kelana Dwibahasa Toastmasters Club. The latter helmed by senior Toastmasters had been an ireful disappointment!
