Singapore Seizes 1MDB Assets

Singaporean authorities have seized assets worth S$240 million (RM717.45 million) after scrutinizing 1MDB-related fund flows for possible money laundering.
"The fund flows being investigated include those connected with Good Star Limited (Seychelles), Aabar Investments PJS Limited (BVI), Aabar Investments PJS Limited (Seychelles), and Tanore Finance Corp. (BVI)," said a joint statement by the Monetary Authority of Singapore, the Attorney-General's Chambers and the Commercial Affairs Department.
The statement follows a lawsuit filed by US prosecutors to seize more than $1 billion (RM4.05 billion) in assets they said were tied to money stolen from 1MDB.

In case, stupid Malaysians miss the point  US officials might not have specifically identified PM Najib Razak; they merely referred to 'Malaysian Official 1'. And #MalaysianOfficial1 quickly became the most trending topic on the Twitter in the country on Thursday.

Surely, it is crystal clear who that person is!

On Friday, we made a return visit to Bacon & Balls in Jalan Lazat 2 in KL's Taman Bukit Indah for our Liquid Gold Advanced Toastmasters regular meeting. And also our Club officers' Installation:

Benny Chia was the Toastmaster-of-the-Evening and as we had anticipated, he added a touch of glamor to the meeting!

House Special: Roasted Knuckles
My menu pick: Grilled Salmon Steak

Including a class act by songstresses Celist & Nutserlar:

Fourteen members attended that evening. Plus twenty-one guests who graced the event, both Toastmasters and non-Toastmasters. The former came from clubs including Allianz, Taman Indrahana, Phoenix, MIMKL, Friendship, Sunway, Elite and ITC Bintang.

Certainly, a memorable meeting!
