Sarawak Malays Don't Practice True Islam

Sarawak Malays have every right to be outraged.

At the PAS Ulama wing’s muktamar on June 01, 2016, the party’s Dewan Ulama chairperson Mahfodz Mohamed (left) mocked the Malays in Sarawak when he pointedly told them they are not practicing the true Islamic way of life.

He had blamed the situation on what he called the colonial understanding of Islam (i.e. that Islam is regarded as a ‘mere’ religion).
Therefore, the Malays there are chained by religious ignorance.

I daresay he was in a stew about PAS not winning any of the eleven seats they contested at the eleventh state election that was held on May 07, 2016. And methinks, he then bashed Sarawak Malays because the latter had spurned his party’s advances.

He had foolishly believed that party president Abdul Hadi Awang’s mesage telling Sarawakians that the state must be governed by Muslim bumiputeras would endear Sarawak Malays to PAS.

He had expected the Malays and Muslims to support a Malay-Muslim party. He was disappointed.

Sarawak aside, Mahfodz also said that the emulation of Western-styled development and secular leadership has led to the corruption of morals in the country.

And yet, his party and UMNO are sleeping in the same bed. What say you, Mahfodz?

On April 29, 2016, Pavilion KL had revealed a special delivery straight from New York City, USA: four life-size figurines of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles – brought exclusively to Malaysia to promote the action-adventure sequel Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2: Out of the Shadows, which premiered on June 02, 2016.

Since the TMNT are in town – I paid them a courtesy call. On Friday. At the Center Court on Level 2:
