Azmin Ali Is Not Giving Up On PAS

PKR deputy president Azmin Ali urged PAS to join forces with PKR, DAP and Amanah to “move forward to face GE14 together – as a team”. I don't believe he has taken leave of his senses. He was just being cheeky!

This strange call was made in the aftermath of Pakatan Harapan’s disastrous outing in the Sarawak state election and also the forthcoming by-elections slated on June 19 for the parliamentary seats of Sungai Besar, Selangor and Kuala Kangsar, Perak. [Note: These seats became vacant after the demise of Deputy Plantation Industries and Commodities Minister Noriah Kasnon and Kuala Kangsar MP Wan Muhammad Khair-il Anuar Wan Ahmad in a helicopter crash on May 05, 2016].

Some might look at it as a magnanimous gesture. Some might even say Azmin is a true statesman. Some would retort he was fishing in troubled waters.

Anyway, PAS are claiming the right to contest both the seats as the party have done since Merdeka, according to their leader Abdul Hadi Awang on Saturday.

I say ‘NO’! Amanah should be given a chance instead.

I no longer support PAS since they decided to go their own way. Therefore, Pakatan Harapan must not give in to them. Pakatan Harapan don’t need double-crossers in their fold and they should safeguard their own integrity.

Let PAS be. Let’s move on. Besides, Hadi again spurned Azmin's gesture.
