Luis Suarez Interview

Barcelona’s Luis Suarez (left) in an interview with Jamie Carragher and published in UK’s Daily Mail on February 12, 2016, revealed that if he were to return to the English Premier League, he would only rejoin former club Liverpool!

"I wouldn't go to another team. It wouldn't be a move for money. I'd also love to play again for Ajax as they allowed me to develop as a player in Europe", insisted Suarez.

The Barcelona striker scored 82 goals for Liverpool in a three-and-a-half-year spell and almost inspired the team to EPL glory in 2014 before leaving for Barcelona.

The Uruguayan teamed up well with Lionel Messi and Neymar at Camp Nou and their goals fired Barca to a treble of La Liga, Copa del Rey and Champions League titles in his first season.

Now in his second season, Suarez has already netted a league tally of 23 goals – the latest coming from Sunday’s La Liga match where he completed a hat-trick as Barcelona crushed Celta Vigo 6-1.

Suarez, though, did admit that he misses the competitiveness of English football – typified by Leicester City's current position as league leaders.

"In the Premier League, you never know what is going to happen and that is something I miss," he said.

Liverpool’s loss is Barcelona’s gain!

And yesterday, the Reds were on a roll as they crushed Aston Villa 6-0. The goal fest came from Daniel Sturridge (16), James Milner (25), Emre Can (58), Divock Origi (63), Nathaniel Clyne (65) and Kolo Toure (71).

It’s about time since they have not won in a long time! And now, they are at No. 8 in the EPL table.

In fact, on Sunday, at the Sai Masters Toastmasters meeting, two club members shared my belief that Liverpool will triumph! And this vote of confidence was made known at the meeting itself.

I was there as the General Evaluator and overall, I can agree it was a good meeting!
