Disney Bring Star Wars to the Rose Parade

Still on the 127th Rose Parade @ Pasadena.

I didn’t mention it in yesterday’s post but one of the floats that made an eye-catching appearance was the massive Disneyland Resort float – it even won the Extraordinaire Trophy for most spectacular float – one of a number of awards given to the massive works of floral art that thrilled spectators annually.

And Disneyland outdid everyone with a three-unit float that featured Elsa's ice palace from “Frozen”, Sleeping Beauty's Castle that was bedazzled and decked out to celebrate the resort's sixtieth anniversary Diamond Celebration, and of course, ”Star Wars” – that has a Millennium Falcon appearing to hover above the float.

Granted, the float didn’t really stick to the floral motif as much as the other floats but then, it is Disney! Okay lah, a little forgiveness goes a long way.
