Another Police Report Against Najib Razak

On Friday, a Pasir Gudang UMNO division member Abdul Rashed Jamaludin lodged a police report against party president Najib Razak over the RM2.6 billion that went to his personal bank accounts and allegations of wrongdoing involving 1MDB, where he is also the chairperson of the state investment firm’s advisory board. 1MDB board chairperson Lodin Wok Kamaruddin and president Arul Kanda Kandasamy were also named in the report sighted by The Malaysian Insider.

In addition, Rashed wanted ministers who had commented on the "donation" issue investigated – in order to determine if they had lied to both the Dewan Rakyat and the media. He named five ministers: Husni Hanadzlah, Ahmad Maslan, Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, Rahman Dahlan and Azalina Othman as among those who had commented on the RM2.6 billion

Rashed's police report follows a suit filed by Langkawi UMNO member Anina Saadudin against Najib and the party to account for the RM2.6 billion donation. She has been sacked from the party for taking it to court, and has said she will challenge the termination of her membership.

Another UMNO man, Khairuddin Abu Hassan was sacked from his post as Batu Kawan division deputy chief after he lodged a police report against Najib and 1MDB last December. He has since lodged more reports with police in the UK and France, and has reportedly handed over documents to Swiss authorities.

It is heartening to note that there are UMNO members who have re-discovered their courage and successfully managed to exorcise their stupidity. Let’s hope there are more of them coming out of the woodwork.

Last Thursday, I was at the Sunway University Toastmasters Club meeting. I delivered CC#10 and completing yet another round of the CC manual. This time, I was evaluated by one of the club’s budding stars, Shan Naren.

And as always, we had a good meeting. I wish we had better attendance since only thirty five came.
