Tajuddin Abdul Rahman Defends PM's Wife

The prime minister’s wife had confirmed through her lawyer that the said Affin Bank account belongs to her. However, she did deny the RM2 million came from 1MDB. [Kindly read this blog post http://helpvictor.blogspot.com/2015/07/1mdb-can-of-worms.html if you don't know what I am talking about].

Still, Rosmah Mansor didn’t explain how she came into the money.

Like a true minion, Deputy Agriculture and Agro-Based Industry Minister Tajuddin Abdul Rahman (left) came to her defense yesterday. Although he pleaded ignorance as to the source of her bounty, he opined that she could have enjoyed lucrative income from her investments.

He gave the example of “many old nyonya (ladies), housewives, old folk, who sit in the house doing nothing but invest here and there.”

He said, “They buy houses and shares, and gain income from these investments”.

In fact, he pointed out Rosmah’s worldwide connections and surmised that her income could be higher – may be RM10 million to RM20 million even!

Wah, if she is so damn good in investing, perhaps Najib Razak should appoint her as the 1MDB CEO instead.

And if what Tajuddin said is true, then Rosmah should declare her assets – in order to quell any speculation about the source of her windfall. She must be open because to clam up would only deepen the public's suspicion toward hubby, Najib Razak, who is being implicated in the 1MDB racket.

Let me hasten to add that there is nothing wrong in receiving heaps of cash – and I would like to openly declare that I would gladly step into her shoes anytime. After all, if I could, I would finally be able to afford diamond rings and Birkin bags.

On Tuesday, I was at the Bankers Club in KL’s Jalan Imbi to attend the TIMKL Toastmasters meeting. I was the General Evaluator. It was a splendid meeting and I could rattle off the reasons – splendid hospitality, spirited membership, stimulating Table Topics, super speeches, superb evaluations, satisfying food and a spiffy venue. Not to mention, starting on time. A 9 over 10 score!
