Muhyiddin Yassin Takes a Dig at the PM

Muhyiddin Yassin has the habit of misplacing his balls often.

But on Sunday, he found them and therefore, he could express his unhappiness about 1MDB. In no uncertain terms, he pronounced that 1MDB is not a sovereign wealth fund but a sovereign debt fund.

And according to Malaysiakini, that statement drew murmurs of agreement from the UMNO crowd.

It was the Cheras UMNO division annual general meeting and the Deputy PM gave an hour-long speech that even touched on “selfies”.

"What's important is to regain public confidence. Don't just take selfies with the rakyat, only to have them talk bad behind your back later”.

Muhyiddin continued: "When people pour criticism on our Facebook page, it's better not to have a Facebook account [...] Then again, it's good for him to know what the rakyat feels".

Although Muhyiddin didn't name anyone, it was pretty obvious that he was referring to Prime Minister Najib Razak, who has the most followers on Facebook and Twitter among any Malaysian politicians.

In particular, Najib's Facebook page is well known for being bombarded with a battery of bellicose belligerence whenever a post or photograph is uploaded.

On Saturday evening, I was at Hadramawt Palace in KL’s Jalan Bukit Bintang for a Toastmasters event, i.e. Premier Advanced Toastmasters Club's “Arabian Night” – Installation and Annual Dinner 2015. I can share these photos taken during the function:

 A good evening!
