A grand total of 107,790 fans – a record for a UEFA 'name the mascot' poll – voted on UEFA.com and social media to name the UEFA EURO 2016 mascot. And the winner is Super Victor. But of course!
The name Super Victor is based on the idea of victory and references the cartoon character boy dressed as a footballer in blue and white with a red cape and number 16 jersey.
The name was announced on Sunday after the voting period ended at midnight on November 26, 2014..
In any case, the mascot made its first appearance on the pitch of Marseille’s Velodrome stadium before kick-off of France’s 1-0 friendly victory over Sweden on November 18.
FYI, Euro 2016 will take place in France from June 10 to July 10.
For some strange reason, District 51 did not produce any hard copies of the Directory this time around. In any case, District Secretary for 2013-2014, i.e. Lee Meng Tze was kind enough to give me a “new” Directory – it was last year’s edition. Even though it is a dated copy but there is enough information for it to be still useful.

Photos show my torn and tattered copy together with the new one.
