Najib Razak Insults Pro-UMNO Bloggers

On Saturday, Najib Razak spewed vitriol on pro-UMNO bloggers – and calling them “bangang” (a rude word meaning “stupid”).
First, for some inexplicable reason, he confessed publicly that UMNO hired bloggers to write for them. And second, he lashed out at them and criticizing them for attacking party leaders under the guise of friendly fire.
Najib has finally confirmed what Malaysians already know. That these bloggers are mercenaries. Cybertroopers for hire. And spin doctors. They are very adept at manufacturing lies and fabrications and falsehoods. For sure, they have the challenging task to defend the indefensible.
I have now learned a new Malay word – “bangang”. Bangang bloggers. Bangang UMNO. Bangang Najib.
On Saturday, I went to KL’s Jalan Gereja to participate in the Tall Tale Contest organized by Speakers Dream Toastmasters Club and hosted by Allianz Toastmasters Club. There were nine contestants and I was the seventh speaker. I did well to emerge champion.

Celtic were outclassed and they lost 1-3 to Salzburg on Thursday. And yet they qualified for a place in the last 32 of the Europa League. Still, it didn’t hide the fact that Celtic played very badly.
In an EPL match on Saturday, Glen Johnson scored a header (85) to give Liverpool a 1-0 win over Stoke, ending the Merseyside club's three-match losing streak. Nothing fantastic about the game but I suppose the result was helpful.
