DMK1023 Students Showcase Movie Posters

My DMK1023 Business Communication students at Sunway University presented their works on Wednesday.
Stuudents were asked to create A3-sized movie posters as part of their coursework project for this semester. After all, these image-laden notices provide a cost-effective way of communicating to a particular target market.
Students will have learned that from a design point of view, appealing posters have a good balance of images and text across the entire area of the poster.
In total, there were fifty-five movie posters – the majority of them carried a “superhero” theme. I decided I didn’t want to be the only one to grade them and so, I put together a 3-person judging panel to assist me – all of whom are my SUBS colleagues.
In fact, one of them, law lecturer Sri Bala (below pic) is an avid “superhero” fan and if you step into his faculty room – you will see the walls adorned with their pictures, especially those from the Marvel universe.
From the fifty-five posters, the judges will have selected the “best” 15 – these will form part of a collection that shall be displayed – for one week – at the Tun Hussein Onn Library. Please do visit Sunway University and check them out.
The DMK1023 exhibition starts today!
