Bibles Returned to Rightful Owners

Finally, the 331 Bibles that had the word ‘Allah’ were returned to the Christians. [For the background story, kindly read my post at this link].
Bolly Lapok, who is the Chairman of Association of Churches in Sarawak and Acting President of the Council of Churches of Malaysia was at the Istana Alam Shah, Klang today to receive the seized scriptures.

Selangor Menteri Besar, Mohamed Azmin Ali must be commended for redressing this injustice. It shows that his predecessor Khalid Ibrahim was incapable, ineffectual and inept. He was also unconcerned, unsympathetic and unfeeling. Good job, Azmin!

But don't get carried away. This is an incomplete resolution. The Bibles were returned to Sarawak and a caveat is in place that they can only be used in that state. Hmmm... Christians from Sarawak and Sabah who are in the peninsular will still not enjoy this 'privilege'. And no apology over the confiscation?
On Thursday, I was at the Ireka Toastmasters meeting in KL's Mont' Kiara to respond to a special request to evaluate a Toastmaster who delivered a HPL speech.

Soon after, I was back in Bandar Sunway to be the General Evaluator for the Sunway Toastmasters Club meeting. I can’t remember when was the last time I was there but I must admit that this particular evening was interesting because I relished the speeches and evaluations. They were instructive, informative and illuminating. And the meeting even started punctually. An 8 over 10 score for this meeting.
