Argentina Get the Better of Netherlands

Everybody had expected that the other match between Netherlands and Argentina on Wednesday would be very close, and sure enough, it was a nail-biter. But we had to endure a drab one hundred and twenty minutes before the shootout was called.

The match had come down to the wire, and Argentina thrillingly pulled past the Netherlands to win the match 4-2 on penalty kicks. Dutch goalie Jasper Cillessen  wasn't substituted and he couldn't repeat Tim Krul's feat in the quarter-final win against Costa Rica. Was this also coach Louis van Gaal's strategy? It seemed to have failed him this time. Or was it that luck had finally deserted him?

Netherlands are out! Argentina who showed themselves to be only marginally better, will now meet Germany in the final.

I was at the Satu Hati Toastmasters meeting yesterday and I did not have any meeting role. Still, I was happy to listen to three good speeches and three good evaluations. And timing was good too. I am giving this meeting a 7.5 over 10 score.
