University Rankings with a Difference

I came across this ‘University Rankings’ by chance and although it is dated (October 25, 2012), it is still a revelation nonetheless. It is not your standard university rankings because this looks specifically at the employability of their university graduates.

More than 2,500 recruiters and about 2,200 international chief executives and business managers in 20 countries were asked to select their top universities. The online survey was compiled by Emerging, a Paris-based human resources consultancy and Trendence, an institute that researches employer branding, personal marketing and recruitment.

From the list of 120 universities, Monash University emerged No. 32. Clap! Clap! And BTW, Lancaster University is not even in the list at all. Of course, none of the Malaysian universities made it either.

On Wednesday afternoon, I was at the KPMG Toastmasters meeting in Bandar Utama, PJ and I was pleasantly surprised that it was well-attended. And yes, it was a good meeting. I enjoyed it so much that I can’t wait to attend their meetings again! I would give this meeting a score of a 7.5 over 10.
