The Hindraf Fool Resigns

Deputy Minister in the Prime Minister's Department P Waythamoorthy (left) resigned from all government posts as well as the Senate on Monday. Those close to the Hindraf chief had asserted that Waytha had felt deceived by the prime minister because the latter did not fulfill promises he made to the Indian community.

The fool actually believed Najib Razak! Clearly, Waytha has shown his stupidity for all to see! By sealing a pre-GE13 deal with Najib, he single-handedly killed Hindraf.  He was too blind to see that Najib had no intention whatsoever to fulfill any of the promises he had made with him. It was merely political expedience and that was it, as far as the prime minister was concerned.

Only now did Waytha become aware that he was about as useful as a windshield wiper on a goat's ass!

Today, I participated in the MIMKL International Speech & Table Topics contests and I was feeling somewhat flustered because I didn’t have a speech. Soon, that turned into fear and just as suddenly, it came to me to talk about fear and soon after, other words invaded my consciousness – like love, like superhero. And a title came into my head –  "I Can Fly”. I can’t explain it but when I went up front to speak – I was the third speaker –  the speech took a form of its own. It was a fairly good speech but it was not great. Still I won the contest.

And Table Topics is just me speaking as I always do. I was the first contestant to speak and again, I won.

Fear is a strange thing. It permanently resides inside me and I will readily admit to you that I fear fear. But at the same time, I know that I will have to acknowledge its presence and more importantly, to embrace it. This fear permits me to challenge myself, to push the limits and to do things that I do not think possible and out of this fear, a burning desire flourishes that energizes me to do all the things l want to do – with conviction, with ardor and with passion.

Next week, another opportunity will present itself – another club contest. Another challenge, another test, another speech! Wish me luck!
