According to RocketNews24, KFC Japan is serving deep-fried corn potage at participating restaurants from September 05, 2013. So how's it possible to deep fry soup? A glob of corn potage is covered in batter and then chucked in the deep fryer.

Anyway, creamy corn soup is currently a big trend in Japan. Supposedly a common fixture in Japanese eateries, its popularity exploded when popular popsicle brand Gari Gari-kun expanded its lineup to include a corn potage flavor.

A KFC Japan press release said that the inspiration came from a recipe for potato-bacon fritters in Colonel Sanders' autobiography.

Deep-fried corn soup joins fried ice cream and deep-fried beer.

On Monday, I was at the Crystal Toastmasters meeting. Although I didn’t have any role, I still enjoyed the meeting. This is one of the few Toastmasters clubs that I know where members never fail to be afflicted with a vivacious vibrancy that is contagious! An 8 over 10 score.

And on Tuesday, I was at the Taman Indrahana Toastmasters meeting where I was one of 3 evaluators. I also took part in the Table Topics session and was also voted Best Table Topics Speaker. This was another good meeting and I would give it an 8 over 10 score too.
