Bangsar Spring in Dataran Merdeka

The ‘Bangsar spring’ flags mysteriously sprouted at Dataran Merdeka. The flags made a colorful appearance on Sunday morning and photos began spreading on social media. It’s wonderful to know that productive Malaysians had been hard at work on a Saturday night or perhaps in the wee hours of Sunday morning!

I was invited to a class activity at Subang Jaya’s Metropolitan College yesterday where I was to judge the finals of a public speaking competition (ala ‘Toastmasters’) organized by the University of Wollongong final semester students. It is nice to know that I received this invitation because I am a Toastmaster and this event which the students fondly called ‘Toastmasters’ will at least serve to build confidence as well as to equip them with public speaking skills. And there were more than speeches there were also performances that showcased the talents of these students and not forgetting those who were backstage making their no-less-important contributions! I must congratulate all the students as well as their lecturer Rohayu Kosmin for hosting this smashing event I did enjoy it immensely! Check out the photos taken at the INTI Auditorium:
