GE13 Results: Update 2

Penang BN chief Teng Chang Yeow has lost in Bukit Tengah to PKR's Ong Chin Wen. Triple hurrah!!!

MIC president G Palanivel has won Cameron in Pahang for BN, beating DAP’s M Manogaran with a tissue-thin majority of 80 votes (BN – 9,003, DAP – 8,923).

PKR’s Chua Jui Meng lost in Segamat against incumbent BN’s S Subramaniam (BN – 20,031, PKR – 18,827, Majority – 1,204). Good try, Chua!

But DAP’s Lim Kit Siang romped home to victory against BN’s Abdul Ghani Othman in Gelang Patah (DAP – 37,718, BN – 21,960, Majority – 15,758). Ghani did have cause to worry after all!
Incumbent MP Khalid Samad defeated Perkasa veep Zulkifli Noordin in Shah Alam with an increased majority (PAS 48,835, BN 38,084, Majority   10,751). In 2008, Khalid won the seat with a majority of 9,314.
DAP’s Teresa Kok set a new electoral milestone tonight, winning Seputeh by a 51,552-vote margin and breaking her previous record of 36,492-vote majority in the same federal seat. She easily steamrolled over BN’s Nicole Wong Siaw Ting in a straight fight to keep the federal seat for a fourth term. Seputeh has the highest concentration of Chinese in the country at 98 percent.
