Time for Change

Malaysians, get ready! It is really time for change!

A video clip to remind ourselves that we must cast our precious vote when GE13 comes!

Last Saturday, Malaysia’s world number 1 Nicol David failed to advance into the finals of the 2013 CIMB Kuala Lumpur Open Squash Championships when she was defeated by World No. 3 from England Laura Massaro. In the semi-finals, she started off brilliantly with a 12-10 score, but Massaro made it 1-1 when she took the second set, 11-6. David lost momentum in the other two sets which saw Massaro seal the match with 11-8 and 11-5.

“I’ve done my very best but I feel disappointed with the results”, David said afterwards.

Take heart from Maya Angelou’s words: “While one may encounter many defeats, one must not be defeated”.

It’s good advice that I too will take heed as I wait for this Saturday for the Division B International Speech contest. Time and again I faltered at this stage of the competition and I failed to progress to the next level (i.e. District-level). I am still not defeated. And this year, I am trying again!
