Documentary on Teoh Beng Hock

An excellent documentary that looks at the unanswered questions surrounding the unexplained death of Teoh Beng Hock after he had been taken in for MACC interrogation. It also illustrates the alarming state of our institutions of governance.

This documentary was one of three award-winning films in the Freedom Film Fest 2012 competition:

Bravo to Tricia Yeoh and everyone involved in the sterling production. The video is certainly one to use in class especially on journalism subjects but more importantly, it will help remind justice-minded Malaysians that Teoh Beng Hock’s unjust death will never be forgotten

I had texted Dr William Lau (MIHRM Toastmasters Club) to seek a speaking slot at his next regular meeting. Instead he offered me an opportunity to “entertain” the audience at the MIHRM’s International Speech & Table Topics Club Contests last Friday since there was a free 7-minute slot. And so I took the challenge and delivered a humorous speech. It was not just to regale those who came but it was also to fulfill my CC manual speech #4 How to Say It (Speech title: “My Shopping Adventures”). Happily, I gained the plaudits of my evaluator from IEM Toastmasters Club, Sim Bock San. Still I thought I did quite well and anyway, this was an unusual platform to do my speech but I enjoyed it. BTW, MIHRM Toastmasters Club celebrated their 14th anniversary.
