Sunway University is Still Excellent

The results of the Rating System for Malaysian Higher Education 2011 (SETARA 2011) are out. Fifty-four tertiary institutions were involved in this exercise but only fifty-two were rated. And Sunway University still maintains its position at Tier 5 (Excellent) – together with thirty-four other universities and university colleges.

So now we are sharing the bed with Binary University College, Management and Science University, Nilai University College (now Nilai University), SEGi University College (now known as SEGi University), Open University Malaysia and Wawasan Open University, to name a ‘select’ few. I don’t know about you but I am thinking that the ‘Excellent” label is fast losing its shine.

The fact that Wanita UMNO is proposing that the Federal Reserve Unit (FRU), deployed to quell rioting and illegal assembly, lends its muscle to tackle crime is already proof that our towns and cities are under siege. Crime is ubiquitous. Crime is commonplace. Crime is everywhere.
