Nielsen Workshop at SUN-U

My April 06, 2012 blogpost titled “Marketing Club in SUBS” pertains. The said club finally got its act together – there were the false starts to begin with – and they organized a successful 3-day workshop that featured Nielsen, a leading global information and measurement company (October 17-19, 2012). It was good to see our students making the effort to participate, particularly since it was the mid-term break. I know they have learned lots and they even hosted focus group sessions with helpful guidance from Neilsen. Kudos to my SUBS colleague Elizabeth Andrews for making it happen!

In the EPL match between Liverpool and Reading, again the former created enough chances to win big and yet again, they disappointed. Teenage forward Raheem Sterling finally made the breakthrough in the 29th minute when he received a delicate flick-on by Luis Suarez and raced through the inside-right channel to fire a shot into the far corner of the net. This secured a 1-0 win over the latter and it gave manager Brendan Rodgers his maiden home league victory against his former club.

Nope, I am not suggesting a stay of execution for Rodgers. I still want him fired. The Reds are still not fulfilling their true potential.
